Computer Integration

Computers provide students with a means to become self-directed learners.  A computer lab enables students to write and edit their ideas, while enhancing their presentations through multimedia resources.

School/Community Partnership

Seward is a member of the Back of the Yards Peace Coalition and works together with a number of neighborhood organizations in order to provide the best services available. Seward also has a Parent Mentor Program where 6-8 parents volunteer in classrooms for 2 hours/day for at least 100 hours. The Parent Mentors are supported by weekly training on class-room instructional practices and leadership training that is provided by staff from the neighborhood organization, The Resurrection Project.
