Gym Physical Education ~ Mr. Razik

Mr. Razik's P.E. Class

IB Physical Education is a combination of being active, educated, and responsible.Physical and health education courses foster the development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will contribute to a student’s balanced and healthy lifestyle. Through physical and health education, students can learn to appreciate and respect the ideas of others and develop effective collaboration and communication skills. This subject area also offers many opportunities to build positive relationships that can help students to develop a sense of social responsibility. Physical Education teaches students that winning is not everything. In sports we have a sang, “you win, and you LEARN”. You learn from your mistakes after a loss and make those weaknesses into strengths.

Students will:

  • learn social skills (being respectful to peers and opponents),
  • physical skills (different movements and activities),
  • cognitive skills (vocabulary and strategies) that they can transfer to other school subjects or their everyday life.

Class expectations:

What you should expect from the Physical Education program at Seward is you will participate, learn, and be respectful. Expect to participate in different sports/activities, learn new terminology, and most importantly have fun.

Supply List:

Students need to wear gym shoes the days they are scheduled to have PE. Gym uniform (Seward shirt and pants) is also highly recommended. All backpacks, jackets, and phones should be left on the chairs in the gym.
